Hey folks, it’s me from I Tried That, diving into yet another weird snack adventure. You know the drill: Lay’s drops a “new” flavor (that’s been huge in Canada since the ’70s-’80s), and suckers like me gotta try it. This time, it’s All Dressed – supposedly a mashup of all the best chip tastes in one bite. Sweet BBQ, savory sour cream and onion, tangy salt and vinegar? Sounds like flavor heaven, right?

According to Lay’s, it’s “all the flavors in one bite” for the ultimate joy ride. But I’ll be the decider here (channeling my inner President Bush). Grabbed a bag, crunched in, and… yep, that’s a potato chip alright.

First hit: I get the sweet and vinegar vibes, plus all those artificial flavorings dancing around. But honestly? It’s like they cranked the volume on nothing specific. Almost barbecue, almost salt and vinegar, almost sour cream and onion – but not quite any of them. The mix just cancels out into bland town. No strong identity; it’s wandering in circles like that scene from History of the World: “You go Northward, you go Southward, I’m gonna walk around in a circle.”

Don’t love ’em, don’t hate ’em. They’re just meh. I’d rather snag three separate bags of the real deals than this flavor mishmash that tastes like… nothing special. Would I buy again? Nah. Horrible? No. Biggest sin: boring.

If you’re a chip fiend curious about Canadian staples hitting US shelves, give ’em a shot. But temper expectations – this ain’t the hype machine it’s cracked up to be. What weird flavor should I tackle next? Hit the comments.
